Bamboo Bites, Thai style treats inspired by a backpacking trip across Southeast Asia, has one goal: to have others join their journey in just one bite. Well, you guys got me- after just one bite (and many, MANY more) I was hooked and craving more this entire week. Bamboo Bites creates adventurous recipes inspired by favorite snacks from around the world.

They originally started introducing the Southeast Asian sticky rice snack at Smorgasburg, and have now grown to do catering & packaged goods. Aside from the product actually being amazing, it is also 100% natural, 100% gluten free...and 100% my fave food vendor at the Smorgasburg market.

Sticky rice flavors (left to right):
Classic Mango with black sesame seeds, Chicken Satay in peanut sauce, Thai Chili Sugar Glazed Bacon with house made hot sauce & papaya salad & Toasted Coconut with black beans. It was hard to choose which bamboo dish to try since there are so many yummy options, but I went with the chicken satay sticky rice.

The creamy peanut sauce (which is made from peanuts that are homegrown & all natural) had a nutty, tangy-sweet, spice taste that was perfectly balanced out by refreshing cucumbers and cilantro. All that, mixed with the sweet sticky rice on the bottom & the chicken in one bite was heavenly- the perfect combo of sweet & salty.

Bamboo Bites is definitely the next big thing...
Follow their journey and try it for yourself (at Smorgasburg every Saturday & Sunday from 11am-6pm), you will not be disappointed...or hungry.
What is #TacoTuesdays anyway? Now it's #ThaiTuesdays!
