This past weekend I went to the land of mountains, chocolate and cheese...Interlaken, Switzerland. It was the most peaceful and beautiful place I had ever been to, filled with crisp fresh air, blazing green valleys and snowcapped mountain-peaks.
Friday night we went night sledding which trailed throughout the Alps and frozen waterfalls in pitch-dark, it was crazy and we couldn't stop laughing the entire time! The end of the trail led us to a small local restaurant where we enjoyed a warming traditional Swiss cheese fondue dinner paired with a glass of wine.
After hours of snow shoe hiking in the mountains and working up an appetite, we treated ourselves and went to a chocolate show. They gave us the recipes and secrets of why Swiss chocolate is the very best in the world. We got to taste different flavors and make our own chocolate as well.
